Celebrations for the patron saint of Italy, Francesco d’Assisi, to which this year will pay tribute – on behalf of all the Italian municipalities – to the Liguria Region, with the symbolic offer of oil for the votive lamps that burn before his ala tomb and the place of the Blessed Transit at the Porziuncola. In memory of Fr. Jacopa, the Roman Roman friend of Saint Francis present at Porziuncola in the imminence of the Transit, the “Silver Rose” – an annual recognition attributed to a woman of our time witness of faith, hope and charity – will be delivered to Sister Emanuela Koola, Mother General of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Refuge in Monte Calvario of Genoa.
