Via Crucis d’Autore

03/30/2018 – Spello (PG)

The traditional Good Friday procession made the historic city think of it as one big exhibition site. The fourteen stations celebrating the Passion of the Christ become inspirational for national and international artists who for the occasion realize paintings to be placed in some sites of the ancient city, corresponding to the Catholic iconography with which each year the stages are remembered of Christ condemned to death towards Mount Getzemani.

A religious itinerary inside churches and historical sites of the Historic Center that evokes the suffering of Christ, turning Spello into a great art gallery. The stops in front of the paintings to listen to the Gospel message want to represent a unique moment of spirituality, emotion and participation.

Departure from the Church of San Lorenzo and return to the Church of Sant’Andrea.
