Luminaria di San Costanzo

01/28/2018 – Perugia (PG)

Luminaria is a historical cultural evocation of the city of Perugia which has German origins.
The Umbrian capital recalls the saint with the court of the great luminary, commissioned for the first time by the Council of Priors of 1310. Every year, on the eve of the feast, the tradition is renewed with a commemoration that brings the acropolis back in time. The civil and religious authorities parade through the center bringing as a tribute to the patron five gifts: the laurel wreath, the candle, the core, the incense and the vin santo.
