Umbria Jazz is the most important Italian jazz music festival and one of the most important in the world. Born in 1973, it takes place annually in Perugia in the month of July.
Over time it has changed various geographies up to the one we know today: the Santa Giuliana Arena with the Main Stage, the Morlacchi Theater where appointments are held with some of the most interesting projects on the international and Italian Jazz scene, the National Gallery of Umbria with the Sala Podiani and the Outdoor stages in the various squares of Perugia.
In recent years, UJ4KIDS has been created, dedicated to young people and families.
In 2023 the festival will be 50 years old, it will take place from July 7 to 16 and big names are already on the program > like Mika, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Stewart Copeland, Paolo Conte and many more.
